Title: 100% SECRET
Sequel: MORE THAN A SECRET
Starring: Jackie Appiah, Prince David Osei, Christabel Ekeh, Fredrick Leonard
Synopsis:
A woman is embarrassed by the fact that she has two out-of-wedlock children and keeps them a secret from her fiance.
Review:
Anita brought shame to her family by having two children out of wedlock but no one is more embarrassed than she was. After a string of suitors ran for the hills when learning about her kids, Anita decided to keep them a secret from her fiancé until after the marriage.
Let’s Talk: The first two hours of this movie was repetitious as we watched Anita (Jackie Appiah) make the same mistakes over and over again. Convinced that the men in her life deserted her because she has kids, she decided to keep her children a secret.
In general, people don’t appreciate the truth in the end; they appreciate honesty in the beginning but this is a lesson that escaped Anita. The best advice she was given was that she didn’t need a husband; she needed self-empowerment. This is the one lesson struggling single mothers should take from this film.
At the end of this movie all secrets were revealed and some were completely ludicrous. Without giving it away, it was completely unreal that Anita’s friend recognized Collins from way back when and Anita didn’t. And how convenient that her friend came to the house at the perfect moment to fit the pieces together.
This film has enough drama to keep an audience watching but after sticking around for four parts, the writer needed to come with a better ending. EJECT
