Synopsis:
An engaged man is unaware that his fiancee is cheating on him all while a friend of his knows the situation but is unsure of how to tell him.
Review:
Patrick (John Dumelo) is engaged to the love of his life, Bridget (Ewurabena Braye). One day he drummed up a conversation with a sales clerk, Doreen (Belinda France) and he proudly showed off a picture of Bridget. It turned out that Doreen recognized Bridget from a nightclub. She wasn’t sure at first but she confirmed it when she later saw Bridget partying it up at the venue.
As time went on it became obvious to Doreen that Bridget was nothing but a party girl having an affair. Meanwhile, she had built up an attraction toward Patrick and as his wedding day drew near her hands were tied as to how to handle the situation.
When Doreen finally tried to tell Patrick the truth about his fiancee, he didn’t want to believe it and had to see it with his own eyes first.
Let’s Talk. “Just The Last Fun” is about a woman cheating on her fiancé. It’s another movie about infidelity but something about it was cool and hip.
Most notable about the story was that although Patrick was a dull boyfriend, Bridget wasn’t believable as the type of woman that could run circles around him. Sorry. These two as a couple were unlikely and this is where the casting was inadequate.
Clearly, Patrick would be doing the cheating if the two were a couple in real life. This is not to be offensive, it’s just a perception on types. Furthermore, it’s not clear WHY Bridget was cheating on him in the first place and why she wanted to marry him.
In terms of performances, John Dumelo played a boring boyfriend which was hard to believe based on his looks, however, he was authentic in the role. Overall, the acting was decent despite the lack of chemistry between Dumelo and Braye.
Video and sound were adequate.
In a nutshell, “Just The Last Fun” was an engaging flick. RECOMMEND
