Review:
The biggest mistake of Jeff’s (Frank Artus) life was leaving Samantha (Nadia Buari) at the altar on their wedding day. But he made an even bigger mistake when he failed to tell his new fiancee about her.
Just as he and his new bride, Nicole (Juliet Ibrahim) were planning their nuptials, the maid of honor dropped out of the wedding. Of all people, Nicole invited Samantha, Jeff’s ex-bride, as a replacement. Nicole hadn’t seen Samantha in eight years and she was completely unaware of Samantha’s history with Jeff.
When Jeff realized that Samantha had become a part of his wedding, he was floored. On the special day, both Jeff and Samantha didn’t let on that they knew each other, which was ultimately responsible for the chaos that followed.
Samantha was still seeking answers as to why Jeff suddenly left her at the altar and she was hell bent on getting him back…in more ways than one.
Let’s Talk. This is drama at its finest. Jeff thought he could surreptitiously remove his ex-bride from his life and move on with his new girlfriend but that proved to be easier said than done.
The story was capturing but had a few faults. There was a scene where Samantha and Nicole had a physical fight. Did they really have a pillow fight before Samantha reached for the gun? This was not appropriate for such a heightened scene and pillow fights are reserved for young girls, not adults. Sigh…
There was also a mistake in dialogue. When Jissy (Toosweet Annan) was consoling Nicole, he inadvertently called her Samantha. Also how did it become Jissy’s place to tell Nicole the truth? That was Jeff’s job.
Another shortcoming was when Jeff moved Nicole’s body from the living room. How convenient that the blood stayed neatly in one place. There was also a scene or two where the boom and other camera equipment could be seen in the shot.
The truth of the matter is that all faults are forgivable because “Crazy Scandal” was off the chain. It gripped the audience from the onset and presented a fascinating turn of events. From scorn, betrayal, kidnapping, drugging, and seduction, there wasn’t a stone unturned.
As far as acting, Nadia Buari must have had a field day playing the jilted lover gone mad and Frank Artus came with his “A” game as a man trapped in a hellish relationship with his ex-girlfriend. The supporting cast was equally wonderful with good performances by all.
Please note that “Crazy Scandal Part 3” is also known as “The Unfaithful Promise – Parts 1 & 2.” Very entertaining. RECOMMEND
