Title: DEADLY AFFAIR (1 & 2)
Sequel: DOMESTIC ENEMY (1 & 2)
Starring: Jackie Appiah, Majid Michel, Kalsoume Sinare, Roselyn Ngissah
Synopsis: A seemingly happy couple travels to “splitsville” when their dirty secrets are exposed.
Review:
On the surface Leo and Diana Rawlings appear to be a happily married, successful couple. She’s an actress and he’s a businessman. However, behind the façade problems were brewing. Leo hid the fact that his business was financially deteriorating and Diana was having a hot affair. As revenge and greed steered their lives only one of them remained on course.
Let’s Talk. This suspense drama captures interest from the first scene. Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah play Leo and Diana Rawling’s whose marriage is on the brink of failure. Leo hid his financial issues, Diana hid an affair, and Raphael (Prince David Osei), who was Diana’s lover, hid his love of money.
There’s a scene where Diana was attacked and received quite a few blows to the head. Why did her Mom call the police and not an ambulance? Also, Detective Susan (Roselyn Ngissah) had a line where she said she wanted to “ask some few questions.” Poor English. Either you want to ask a few questions or you want to ask some questions. The word “few’ and “some” are synonymous.
It would have been great to see the detective actually solve the crime instead of just using the character to move the story along but the story is what it is.
The acting was good, even Dream Bebo’s small role as a murderer was credible. If “Deadly Affair” were to be scored, it would receive a B+. Very good. Juicy. RECOMMEND
