A newly married woman discovers the peculiar relationship between her husband and his daughter.
Review:
The story commenced when Otumba (Jibola Dabo) brought Florence (Maryann Apollo) home and introduced her to his daughter, Pandora, as his wife. There was instant animosity as Pandora (Tonto Dikeh) viewed the unexpected marriage as an intrusion on her relationship with her father. Florence was curious as to why Pandora hated her and soon discovered a secret.
Pandora later got a new boyfriend and her father disapproved of him while Florence found herself attracted to him. In the midst of the opposing opinions, Pandora’s boyfriend had his own agenda.
Let’s Talk. NOTE: THIS IS AN “R” RATED REVIEW. “Dirty Secret” tackled the taboo subject of incest. It was met with negative criticism and coined soft porn but it is clearly the definition of entertainment.
The movie is well cast with Tonto Dikeh who fabulously played Daddy’s little girl/bad girl, Muna Obiekwe as the smoothest gigolo ever, and Maryann Apollo who did an excellent job playing the feisty wife.
The story took us on a crazy ride as Pandora and Florence duked it out for Otumba’s attention. Florence couldn’t understand why they were so close but answers eventually came to light.
As for comments, there’s a point in the drama where it is revealed that Cain (Muna Obiekwe) had seven million dollars deposited into his account. The bank didn’t know where the money came from and it makes one wonder what kind of banking regulations are practiced in Africa.
Another strange point is the scene where Cain met Florence in her bedroom. Cain purposely lowered his pants to partially reveal his ass. Once in the room, he turned his back to her so she could see his exposed behind. This made no sense. If he turned to face her and manipulated his underwear to show that he was “packin” that would have been more plausible because clearly his ass wasn’t what she was interested in.
Also, there’s a scene where Brian swore to Pandora that he “loves her more than anything.” This was right after she walked in on him kissing her best friend. How could that be when he probably would have screwed Erica if Pandora hadn’t walked in? Crazy scene.
At the end of the day, despite the minor defects, “Dirty Secret” is a highly entertaining movie. RECOMMEND

Heeyy I thought this movie was GREAT..I purchased it for my collection and never get tired cause I watch it on the regular.
Scandalous but entertaining. I’ve seen it about 3 times myself.
Dug into my collection today and watched this blockbuster (I have those moments) one of the best bar none (my opinion) everything about this movie is top notch..storyline..cast lighting..big budget look and the soundtrack music fits every scene..love the music. You’re missing out if you don’t have this one.
I absolutely agree. It actually got some negative feedback when it was released way back when but I didn’t lose a second of interest when I watched this movie. The subject matter was def cray-cray but the acting was good. Loved Tonto in this, Muna, Ajibola Dabo, and Maryann Apollo.
Yeeaa I got this movie today also..again. ok here’s the 411. I already have this movie but I just love it everything about it and the movie store had 1 copy left so I just had to have it. This is one of my all time favorites and if something should happen to it ..God forbid well now I have two.
