Review:
It’s Vickie and Charlie’s wedding day and Charlie is feeling ambivalent because he came across a picture that showcased Vickie in a compromising position. He confronts her about it and then he has a confession of his own to make.
Let’s Talk. This movie starts out right. We’re about to see a wedding and there are untold secrets between the couple.
Ultimately, the secrets are lame. Charlie (Ramsey Nouah) slept at a woman’s house that he met at a bar one evening. They didn’t have sex or even kiss for that matter. Charlie woke up in the woman’s bed and couldn’t remember whether he had sex with her or not. Sigh… He may have been a little drunk but he wasn’t drugged…c’mon.
As for Vickie (Veeda Darko), she kissed a dying a man because it was his last wish and a picture of the kiss surfaced. These are the confessions the couple had to make to one another. In terms of storytelling the writer needed to come better than this.
This film is loaded with flashbacks, which makes one feel that the writer should have just told the story from the beginning. This way the audience would be able to share the journey with the couple instead of jerking us back and forth.
Although this is a nicely shot production and sound is decent, there just wasn’t enough meat or conflict in the story. EJECT
