Title: FAKE CHURCH (1 – 4)
Starring: Nkem Owoh, Clem Ohameze, Queen Nwokoye
Synopsis:
An ex-convict looking to live a law abiding life finds himself with unusual powers after visiting a pastor at the church.
Review:
Silas (Nkem Owoh) returned from prison looking to walk in the light of God. After a conversation with his pastor he found himself with unusual powers which he used to heal members of the church.
Meanwhile, two rivaling women who were completely aware that Silas was married, competed for his attention. When he chose one over the other, the rejected woman set out to destroy his marriage.
Let’s Talk. This is a slow moving story that doesn’t generate much interest until part three. The backdrop to the story is about the animosity between two women, who were at one point sharing the same man.
The women were seamlessly intertwined into the main plot when they joined the church and became intimately involved with Silas. When he showered one woman with gifts – meaning a car and a house, the other woman suspected something was fishy and investigated.
In terms of acting, Nkem Owoh is an excellent character actor. Unfortunately, some of the women surrounding him overacted in their roles.
Overall this is a watchable movie that could have easily been done in two parts – four was unnecessary. If you appreciate the word of God, this is the movie to watch. RECOMMEND
