Title: KISS ME IF YOU CAN (1 & 2)
Sequel: NONE
Starring:
Martha Ankomah, Prince David Osei, Kobi Rana, Eddie Nartey, Roselyn Ngissah
Synopsis:
A guy hires a spiritualist to win a woman’s heart but fails to follow instructions and pays the consequence.
Review:
Ray had a thing for Sharon. He relentlessly pursued her but to no avail. She was fed up of being burned by men and she just wasn’t interested. Ray was determined to have her by any means necessary. He desperately sought the help of a spiritualist who promised that Sharon would be his if he followed her instructions. He made an error in the process and it was the biggest mistake of his life.
Let’s Talk. This movie opened up with a bang and is story telling at it’s finest. It’s ripe with intrigue, conflict, and laughter. The popular saying “be careful what you wish for because you just might get it” doesn’t hold true in this story.
Ray’s desperation for Sharon was the entire movie and he took us on his journey to get her. Many obstacles were placed in his way and as he raced against time to get what he wanted we were alongside him.
As for story comments, it’s strange that Ray would fall so hard for a girl that he hardly knew but it doesn’t matter because the mission to pursue her was so engrossing. The audience was able to feel the characters pain, desperation, and frustration right up to the very end.
In one scene we saw Ray having a sexual fantasy about Sharon. It’s here that his intentions became misconstrued because this relayed the message that he just wanted to screw her. Would a man go through such lengths as this character did just to go to bed with a woman? We certainly hope not.
What’s interesting is that Writer/Director Kobi Rana humorously displayed the reason why women have an attitude when it comes to men. Sharon had been burned so many times that she just gave up on them. This makes meeting a woman twice as difficult but men must realize that it’s the next man suffers the backlash after the previous guy caused a woman emotional pain.
Performances? The acting here was superb. Martha Ankomah, Prince David and Eddie Nartey become the characters. It’s not even about acting; it’s about living the character. And let’s not forget Roselyn Ngissah. This woman is fierce and she can surely walk with best of them.
As for the technical stuff, there are some spotty issues with sound. Other than that I really enjoyed this movie. “Kiss Me If You Can” is a well-written drama and a must amongst your movie collection. RECOMMEND

I have wanted to see this movie for the longest. Now, it want come up. Folk should have the choice to see what they want!!!
It’s on Youtube.com for free. Type in “Kiss Me if You Can African Movie” in the search bar. A company called NewGhallywood offers it. The picture quality isn’t as good though.
Yeeee this is a good one..I’m ordering this one for my collection. TalkAfricanMovies you are so right about the picture quality.
Hi JJ. Yes, captivating story but you def need the original DVD or one of the online movie websites that offer good picture quality.
There are sooo many Nigerian movie channels on youtube that offers free movies..how do they get away with doing that..I thought it was illegal? and none of those youtube movie channels have a quality stream no matter the brand of pc or your internet speed..Nothing can replace/beat watching on a large screen television with surround sound..that’s how I roll. I’m now watching “Beautiful Faces”..I wouldn’t waste my money joining a paying site cause I’ve read sooo many comments about this one site always about quality and picture streaming and they don’t even use youtube. I don’t have to say the name cause I’m sure you already know who I’m referring to.
I prefer watching movies on a big screen too. It’s rare that I watch a movie online but you’re right that the actual DVD does have the best quality. There’s that buffering delay that can be annoying when watching online. But hey, to each his own. Everything has a plus and a minus. Surround sound, huh? I hear you. I’ve looked at a few systems. Still undecided about which one to get.
“Kiss Me If You Can” I should have this one in a couple of days original copy too. now getting back to the large screen tv..I have a Vizio model with the Vizio surround sound bar and just today I watched “Dirty Secrets” yeeaa I just love that movie…talk about the music soundtrack playing thru the sound bar..just awesome. There are so many systems out there to choose from..as for me I went to Sams Club at a time they had a good sale going on so what I got was good for the money.
Hey J. It’s amazing that this movie can still be found in original format. As for the sound bar, I’ll probably get the Samsung.…I think.
Whoaa I got my original copy of “Kiss Me If You Can” this morning..gonna get right into it now.
Hey JJ. You”re becoming my favorite pal. 🙂 Look how many notes we’ve sent to each other. We may have to start calling each other. Lol. Since you now have the movie be sure to comment about what you thought of it. You don’t have to agree with me. Movies tend to affect people differently and that’s what the site is all about. Enjoy!
Sho ya right I gotta agree with you cause you’re right..yess I had seen this movie when it first came out and fell in love with it..but I read your review on this movie and it hit me like a ton of bricks…realizing that was the movie I had forgot the name.I had to have it for my collection and was very blessed to have found it..heey I could never review a movie like you but I can say this movie has a very powerful message..love the cast..the music and lighting is on point..btw where is your location?..I’m in the Peach State.
I’m from the Empire state. I don’t really remember all of the details of the movie because I’ve watched so many since then but I do know that I enjoyed it.
Movie is off da chain good.
Loved it.
Sho ya right.

Thanks for liking my movie…from the producer mahmuda salley….
Hi Muda, I obviously enjoyed the movie but I believe it was edited for the US market because I saw scenes in the trailer that were not in the movie. I’d be curious to see the original version. Anyway, thanks so much for visiting the site today. All the Best!!
Where can I get the DVD for KISS ME IF YOU CAN and CRAZY?
Hi Gerald, these are both old movies and will probably be difficult to find on DVD. Try http://www.africamovies.com. I haven’t visited their site lately but I know they used to have a lot of old movies for sale.
