Title: MEMORIES OF MY HEART RELOADED (1 & 2)
Starring: Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo, Nse Ikpe-Etim
Synopsis:
A nurse falls in love with a patient that lost his memory while she attempts to hide the truth of his past love life from him.
Review:
Banky (Ramsey Nouah) lost his memory in an accident. Dr. Dammy (Nse Ikpe-Etim) tended to him during his hospital stay and they developed a relationship and fell in love. What held the key to Banky’s memory is his diary. In it, he revealed an unresolved relationship he had with Halle (Ini Edo). When Dr. Dammy inadvertently came across the diary in his home, she hid it and prayed Banky’s memory never returned.
Let’s Talk. This is a movie that requires a little patience. It’s not clear where’s it’s going at first and then it hits you. It’s about a nurse’s love for a patient and her desire to keep his past from him.
The story was a bit contrived because it was too convenient that Banky kept a diary detailing the events of his life. How many men actually keep diaries?
The real story was between Banky and his part girlfriend, Halle. That storyline was enough. How they met and fell in love stands alone. It was easy to like them and root for them to be together.
The memory loss segment in this story felt like a waste of screen time but in all fairness it did contribute to the conflict that Banky was faced with at the end.
“Memories of My Heart” does generate a warm spirit, thanks to persuasive performances, especially that of Ramsey Nouah. It’s a treat to watch this talented cast and see one of those “happily ever after” endings. RECOMMEND
