Title: MY AMERICAN NURSE 2
Starring: Pascal Atuma, Veeda Darko, Aloma Wright, Michael Blackson
Synopsis:
A Nigerian man and his young wife attempt to migrate into American life, however his wife’s ulterior motive is to make in the US without him.
Review:
Shehu (Pascal Atuma) marries Christiana (Veeda Darko), a naive woman half his age in Nigeria. He brings her to the US to become a nurse. His plan is for her to work long hours, make a big paycheck, and provide a comfortable life for him.
Christiana later meets Mississippi (Aloma Wright), a bitter woman who teaches her the African American culture. Christiana is a quick learner and she was on a mission to make it in the US – without Shehu.
Let’s Talk. This is a “dramedy.” It serves as an eye-opener to the realities of the American dream that hilariously blends the African culture with the American culture.
Pascal Atuma played Shehu, a man with big dreams that he planned to accomplish through the work of his wife. Little did he know, she got “Americanized” and had her own agenda.
Performances? No complaints. Pascal Atuma and Veeda Darko were believable as a Nigerian couple.
Video and audio were satisfactory.
Director, Pascal Atuma really tickles your funny bone with this one. RECOMMEND
