Starring:Desmond Elliott, Okawa Shaznay, Segun Arinze, Tony Umez
Synopsis:
A woman murders her husband and then trips up the detectives by denying he’s the man she’s married to.
Review:
The movie opens up to a joyous occasion as Anastasia (Okawa Shaznay) and her husband, William (Desmond Elliott) celebrated their second anniversary. Their union appeared to be one of bliss but soon after, Anastasia murdered William in cold blood.
When detectives responded to the crime, Anastasia stated that the dead body in her home wasn’t her husband but was that of a stranger that invaded her home with the intent to harm her.
The plot thickened when it was revealed that not only did William have another wife and three children, he had also carried out some unscrupulous acts. The second wife identified William’s corpse while Anastasia remained adamant about a mistaken identity.
Let’s Talk. This movie got straight to the point – no unnecessary or extended scenes. It’s sort of a thriller that had to explore the identity of a dead man.
This story could have been wrapped up fairly quickly. If Anastasia killed a man believed to be her husband, and she stated that the victim was not him, then all she had to do was produce the man that is her husband. Right? That should have been the objective of the investigators in addition to gathering DNA evidence.
When it came to reasons why Anastasia would want to kill her husband, all I can ask is why didn’t she just divorce him? She certainly had the means to do so.
The movie itself was a little sudsy and it seemed to be confused as to whether it wanted to be a soap opera or a drama. The background music had a sound so similar to “Nadia’s Theme” – the soundtrack for the U.S. soap “The Young and the Restless.” Maybe it was meant to be a cross between the two.
The writing was apt in that it manipulated viewers as it inched its way to motive and then to a place where we realized who the “perfect strangers” actually were.
As for performances, Okawa Shaznay led the way playing almost the identical character that she did in “Delilah.” Her character was again stoic but this time layered with a little more emotion.
Desmond Elliott got to play dual roles and I must say he’s one of the few directors that actually have acting talent. I’m not sure he had the best chemistry with Okawa but they were individually proficient with their characters.
“Perfect Strangers” was more strange than perfect. It wasn’t engineered to be memorable, and as unlikely as the story is, it may pique the interest of some audiences. RECOMMEND

This Was A Very Silly Review. Makes Me Think Whoever Reviewed This Movie Has Something Against Okawa. Like Did You Even Watch The Movie?! The Reason She Didn’t Just Divorce Him Was Because He Paid His Doctor Friend To Take Or Her Womb, When She Had A Miscarriage And Was Admitted In The Hospital. He Made Her Barren, So She Exacted Her Revenge. Surely, A Divorce Wouldn’t Have Been Enough Justice For What He Did. Then You Asked Why The Police Didn’t Ask Her For His Whereabouts(now, I truly beehive you didn’t watch this movie). She Told Them The Man She Killed Wasn’t Her Husband, He Was An Imposter. That Her Husband Had Defrauded Of The Money Her Late Husband Left Her, And Vanished. But She Was Going To Find Him, Kill Him And Face The Consequences. It Was A Very Interesting And Intriguing Movie. Only Reason I Stumbled On This Page Is Because The Power Supply Was Cut, And I Badly Wanted To Know How It Ended(stopped at when the 1st wife came to see Anastasia in her home).
Ridiculous story with many holes
ANY woman who has her womb removed will not have her periods(menstrual flow) again and for two years she didn’t know that she had no womb, or at least didn’t go find out earlier why she had no periods?
Lets research a little!!!!!
Secondly why all this nonesense about who the dead man was? He had children and a mother, a DNA test would have proved he was the dead man in two weeks, a month tops. Again let’s stop being mediocre
Ridiculous story

Secondly what nonsense about the man’s identity
DNA test using Mother and children would have proved who he was, not an intruder. Lets stop the mediocrity
