Review:
This is a story about Stella (Fati Zana) who was robbed of the privilege of being a princess, first by her mother and then by her half sister. Her ordeal began when she was stolen at birth by a maiden who worked for her biological father. The maiden raised her as her own and Stella grew up in the village, living a life of modest means.
The woman that Stella had come to know as her mother, died, and Stella later learned the truth about her identity and discovered that she was actually royalty. She was encouraged to search for her father and did so.
Stella eventually found her biological father and he welcomed her into his palace with open arms however, Ofune, her half wasn’t as cordial. Ofune (Stephanie Okereke) looked down on Stella but also perceived her as competition.
Ofune was asked to teach Stella the traditions of the kingdom but she had nothing but trickery to offer. She purposely misinformed Stella and taught her to be ill-mannered instead of graceful and as a result, Stella unwittingly embarrassed the family on numerous occasions.
Stella came to the conclusion that the royal life wasn’t for her and she decided to return to the village however, she reconsidered her decision when Princes Kami (Pat Ata) asked for her hand in marriage.
Let’s Talk. The is a drama. In a nutshell the movie is good sister versus bad sister. Stella grew up poor while Ofune lived a life of royalty. In as much as Ofune was the educated, pretty, and wealthy sister, she was still threatened by Stella, a woman that she considered to be beneath her.
In part two it becomes clear why the movie is called “Real Wives.” It turned out that the two contrasting sisters married princes. Stella accepted Kami’s proposal and Ofune married Osita (Tchidi Chikere).
While Stella cooked and cleaned for her husband, Ofune sent her husband’s clothes to the cleaners. Stella believed in physical labor while Ofune didn’t lift a finger to do anything. Later in the story their father took ill and Ofune treated him like yesterday’s garbage while Stella offered him love and care.
In terms of performances, they were top notch. Stephanie Okereke embodied her role as the stuck-up princess while Fati Zana wore her heart on her sleeve as the less fortunate Princess Stella.
“Real Wives” set out to explore the definition of a wife. It’s a well written and produced movie that’s highly entertaining. It’s another royal movie with all the regal fuss but certainly captivating from start to finish. RECOMMEND

This one was funny! Fati (Stella) did a great job being all innocent in her reaction to being exposed to royalty. I will agree that this one was a draw in from start to finish.
Yep, this was a good story.
All actors did a great job. Where can I this movie to purchase ?
Hey Naa, I completely agree that the acting was on point. As far as purchasing it, this movie is pretty old and most likely out of circulation.
