Title: SISTERS ON FIRE (1 & 2)
Sequel: ROYALTY APART (1 & 2)
Starring: John Dumelo. Tonto Dikeh, Ini Edo
Synopsis:
Two sisters who are total opposites fall for the same guy. After an all out war, it’s a family secret that determines which of the women the guy choses.
Review:
Mellisa (Ini Edo) and Nina (Tonto Dikeh) are sisters who are like night and day. One is God-fearing, the other is a wild party girl.
They inadvertently fall for the same man, Chris (John Dumelo). The constant war between the sisters brought shame to their royal family and the community called for the dethronement the King, their father. However, all is well when something from the King’s past resolves the rift between the sisters.
Let’s Talk. First off, a title like “Sisters on Fire – Parts 3 &4” would have sufficed as a title for movie buyers seeking the continuation of the story. “Royalty Apart?” See Problems with Nollywood movies for more on this.
Parts 1 & 2 sets up the story and Ini Edo and Tonto Dikeh work really well together. In the sequel, Mellisa had Chris kidnapped and her cult performed a ceremony to make him hers. What ludicrous lengths for a woman to go through for a man that she knows doesn’t want her.
When Chris reappeared after the spell in a sparkling suit he looked more like a pimp than a man of prestige.
In all, this movie was nothing short of entertaining. Ini Edo is fabulous as the bad girl and it’s a joy to see Tonto Dikeh playing a church girl.
Two thumbs way up. This is one of Kensteve Anuka’s best movies. RECOMMEND
