Title: TURN ME ON (1 –3)
Starring: Jackie Appiah, John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Roselyn Ngissah
Synopsis:
Harry Buckman, a business tycoon died. His children halted their chaotic lives to come together to mourn his death and to also learn the contents of his will.
Review:
“Turn Me On” centered on a troubled family that is full of secrets. The siblings weren’t close but they all shared one thing in common – the desire for money.
As they came together to learn the contents of their father’s will, each sibling was on an emotional roller coaster.
Kendall (Jackie Appiah) had a mysterious blackmailer that was demanding money, Woody (Benjamin Kwadey) is a drug using, failed musician that wallowed in misery, and Tyler (John Dumelo) is a money hungry lawyer who would do anything to provide a lavish lifestyle for his male lover.
To everyone’s surprise, they learned of Julia (Yvonne Nelson), who is their father’s love child and also entitled to a cut of the family wealth. The drama tumbled as the family awaited their share of the pie.
Let’s Talk. Harry Buckman (Willie Halm) died and his children were upset. Not because of his death but because of their own personal issues.
Each share of the inherited assets that Mr. Buckman left behind insured exhalation for each sibling because it would eradicate loans, blackmail, scheming, and other pressures they currently faced.
As the story progressed, not everything was what is seemed and the family was in for some surprises.
In terms of the story, it moved at an even pace. There were some scenes that felt contrived such as Julia escaping murder twice and the convenient confession tape at the end.
As for acting, it was satisfactory, nothing extraordinary.
It’s not clear why the title of the movie is called “Turn Me On” but it does promise to keep you tuned in. RECOMMEND

Always on point..another favorite of mine.
Cool movie. Star-studded cast.
Just today I got my original copy (dvd) of this movie..great cast and storyline a must have for my collection.
I have to get a copy of this movie myself. I borrowed a friend’s copy when I saw it a few years ago. You’ve purchased quite a few movies lately. Watch anything good?
Heeyy Talk African Movies..hope all is well..yess everything I’ve purchased lately is good lol..thanks to your reviews and others. Just this morning I ordered..”Bed Of Roses”..”Burning Bridges” a new movie and the review was A+..another new movie I ordered..”The Best Man”..didn’t find a review on that one so I’m taking a chance.
Hey JJ. Glad everything is working out for you. As you know, sometimes the movies are hit or miss. I haven’t watched Burning Bridges or The Best Man but they look interesting. We’ll see.
Heeey I got the movie “Bed Of Roses” 2 days ago but it was not the “Bed Of Roses” I thought it would be..same title but different movies..I got the one with Justice Esiri..Kanayo O. Kanayo..Eucharia Anunobi-Ekwu and Emeka Enyiocha. I called the movie store and they said I could send it back and my money would be refunded..heeyy I begin watching the movie and lo and behold I realized I had seen this movie before and whatta movie..I called them back and told them I’m keeping it..this “Bed Of Roses” is a powerful heart touching movie with a message. Also they said they would continue to search for the other “Bed Of Roses.
Hey JJ,
Yes, that happens a lot in the African movie world – different movies have the same titles or the same movie is sold under different titles. Crazy. That’s why I try to alert readers to the A.K.A’s (Also Known As) of the movies that I post whenever possible. It’s a hard thing to keep track of though. If I see the version of “Bed of Roses” that you’e looking for, I’ll let you know. So funny that we’re talking about “Bed of Roses” on the “Turn Me” On post.
