Title: VICTIMS (1 – 4)
Starring: Majid Michel, Mercy Johnson, Livinus Nnochiri, Yul Edochie
Synopsis:
Dr. Jerry, an unscrupulous gynecologist, took advantage of his female patients, and one in particular was suspicious and determined to get proof.
Review:
“Victims” is the perfect name for this movie. Dr. Jerry (Majid Michel) is clearly an addict who needs medical attention himself. He actually subdues his patients so he can have sex with them.
Emeka (Yul Edochie) is the husband of one of the patients and he tried to bring Dr. Jerry to justice but it turned out that all of the witnesses had skeletons in their closets and backed out of court proceedings.
Meanwhile, Chief Walters (Livinus Nnochiri) sold his soul for wealth and hid that fact that he was sterile from his young wife, Serena (Mercy Johnson). He paid the ruthless Dr. Jerry to impregnate his wife without her knowledge. By the end, all storylines came together seamlessly and everyone got what they deserved.
Let’s Talk. The movie differs from the typical Nollywood movie because it’s not a romance/infidelity type of drama. The lead character is a deranged doctor, there’s a variety of courtroom scenes, and professional career characters throughout.
The acting in this movie is outstanding. Majid Michel shows his multi-faceted talent as the wacky doctor and Mercy Johnson kills it as the young, virgin wife duped by her wealthy husband.
Also worth a mention is Livinus Nnochiri who is so good at playing hard-nose, wealthy characters and also Paul Sambo, who played a lawyer. He should be cast in more movies.
The lesson in this movie? Money can’t buy happiness. RECOMMEND
